Responsibilities
- Anticipate and document paradigm shifts in AI, biotech, and climate tech through horizon scanning and trend analysis
- Develop 2026-2030 strategic roadmaps for enterprise clients using scenario modeling and predictive analytics
- Lead cross-functional workshops to embed future-thinking into product development cycles
- Author white papers and thought leadership pieces published in MIT Tech Review and similar outlets
- Manage innovation incubators for emerging technologies with $10M+ annual budgets
- Interface with academic partners (Stanford, MIT) on joint research initiatives
- Mentor junior futurists while building proprietary forecasting methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Portfolio demonstrating published future scenarios implemented by major corporations
- Expertise in quantitative forecasting tools (e.g., Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Proven ability to translate complex futures into actionable business strategies
- Experience speaking at Davos, TED, or equivalent high-impact forums
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., from School of Thought Institute)
