You'll collaborate with research labs, engineering teams, and C-suite executives to transform futuristic concepts into actionable strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with 2026 market projections
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, AI ethics, neurotech) for strategic integration
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate futuristic concepts into product roadmaps
- Present technology forecasts and risk assessments to executive stakeholders
- Establish KPIs for measuring innovation adoption and market readiness
- Manage $5M+ annual R&D budget allocation for future-tech initiatives
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in anticipating market shifts 3-5 years ahead
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (e.g., biotech, AI, blockchain)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or Technology Forecasting preferred
- Experience leading global cross-functional teams
- Published thought leadership in tech innovation or future studies
- Proficiency in scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
